Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centred form of therapy that helps individuals continue doing what is meaningful to them. For Pediatrics, this means the occupation of play, learning to do self-care activities, and participating optimally in life at home, school and in the community.

Jennifer is an Occupational Therapist who has been working in pediatrics in Kitchener-Waterloo since 2006. She is a passionate advocate for her clients, knowing the resources available in our community and actively collaborating with other health professionals to meet her clients’ needs.

Jennifer has an interest in sensory processing and sensory integration, works frequently with Autistic clients, is interested in sleep-disordered breathing, and it’s impact on feeding and swallowing and sleep’s relationship to the ability to function well on a daily basis.

Jennifer is a mother of two, has been a resident of KW for twenty years and has volunteered with the Breastfeeding Buddies, Le Leche League KW and in teaching baby-wearing workshops and volunteers in her faith community. Jennifer enjoys singing, dancing, and is a sound technician.
